What was the point of selecting specific rooms if we don’t get them? After check-in we met Sergio to help us get reservations and also sign us up for the sales presentation. Our family was also not next to us but across the way. We were still within the same building and on the same floor, but in a different room set. My wife was annoyed to find the rooms we explicitly reserved online (6670-6671) were not assigned to us. There are touchscreen kiosks around, but they are useless. We did not get anything like a report map with restaurant details. Even though I checked in online, there was still a process that took 15-20 minutes to confirm things and get our wristbands (room keys and resort designator). The lobby was very large and air-conditioned. There were bell boys ready for our arrival to take the baggage from our shuttle. Arrival experience The property was well-maintained and large. I was able to do it from my mobile device, however. I would get errors each time I entered my initial information. I was unable to complete this form from my laptop. Iberostar sent an email for pre-check-in to make things faster. I could not use the app while on vacation either, which was sad. I’ve upgraded to the latest versions each time, no change. I installed the Iberostar app on my Samsung Galaxy S22+. We totally recommend them and will leave them a review as well. We decided to book Cancun Shuttle, as recommended by the Cancun Airport’s website. They did not have an online system for reservations or online pricing at the time of my booking. Their services are a separate charge unless you are a special member. Iberostar has a partner company called World2Meet (w2m), which provides shuttle services and excursions. I emailed and confirmed this is not true. I had read from another review that Iberostar provides a shuttle service if booked directly with them. Area of improvement: There is no resort map available online. The family would stay four nights while my family of 4 would stay a total of six nights. We got two family suites, a total of 4 rooms. We were planning a coordinated vacation with extended family for the 11 of us, whose ages ranged from 70 down to 2. Pre-arrival & vacation context Wife and I stayed at Iberostar’s Lindo resort 13 years prior for our one-year anniversary and really enjoyed it.
